About Journal batch number in Voucher transaction from Closing and adjustment form

Dear all,

User run inventory closing at the end of month,

When user view Voucher transactions from menu Ledger > Voucher, user can not view Journal batch number from Ledger Entry Journal table because this field always empty.

But user run Inventory value report, user can view Journal batch number(Number column)

How can query Journal batch number for Voucher transaction same as Inventory Value Report?

Please advice me.

Hi Hoang,

Please open the voucher from the inventory closing and adjustment form by selecting 'ledger-voucher'.

In the opened form you should be able to see the voucher and the 'internal' batch number that the system used when posting this voucher.

Note:

You should be able to search and filter by that number from the GL transaction inquiry form. If you cannot then please provide us some screenprints that illustrate the issue.

Journal batch number always blank, but Inventory value report can query this value.

Hello Hoang,

What you share is also what I get.

There is no journal batch number created in the inventory closing and adjustment form.

We have a journal number and a voucher but no journal batch number.

That is what I would expect from the standard application.

Hello Hoang,

I don't think that this is the 'idea' of the inventory value report.

The inventory value report summarizes transactions and helps you reconciling the inventory balances with your GL balances.

You seem to look out for an individual transaction based reconciliation report and want to include some additional information.

Rather than trying to modify and 'abuse' the inventory value report for that purpose, I would recommend having a look at the inventory value cube.

This cube contains the same data but provides you a larger flexibility in regards to grouping, sorting, filtering, adding, ... elements compared to a SSRS report adjustment.
