Search Crm Data by user full name ?

I have customer account section under sales module. In the Active account, I have Contact detail subgrid which contains user full name and user email.

When I search CRM data in global search with the full name it only searches the contact detail.

In this case, I want to search the active account by user full name as well.

So I need CRM to be able to search for an Active account by the user full name.

How can I do this?

Hi Jai,

If the contacts are added as subgrid on the account record then the account would not appear if you search it by contact full name. If you to opposite i.e. search the account name then it will show you account & contact both (of you have configured to quick find coloumn on contact entity).

You could refer this blog on various ways to search in CRM.

Hi Jai,

Please follow below step -

Navigate to settings-->Administrator -->System Settings.

Go o Settings --> Customization--> Customize the System /Solution-> Expand Account--> select Views

Click on OK and then Save and Close .

Don't forget to make Publish All Customization.

Dynamics CRM search functionality only working on entity level fields with matching field criteria. It does not retrieve related records if there is no matching fields . When you search with full name it will search only contact and account having same text in the pre-defined fields in the quick find view. It does not search without matching fields entities. So it will retrieve only contact and does not retrieve any account until and unless any fields value matches with accounts which have defined in quick view.
