hello everyone.

i am being asked by my company to prepare queries as a new budget is to be made for the upcoming year from october 2017-sept 2018. queries here are made through views. but i have no clue where to start from. if anyone could help me out with this i will be grateful.

you haven't state what is your need.please explain what data you want if any.

Hi,

You can create Views on SQL (SSMS) and then connect the Excel to your SQL database (on DATA tab > from Other sources ) and add that view which will populate your data on Excel .

You could create your view in Dynamics AX within the Application Object Tree, then you can consume it however you would like. Within an AX form, on an SSRS report, directly from SQL Server.
