I would like to if i am using calendar month (Jan to Dec) as my original fiscal year-end, for like 2017 and 2018, Then i would like to change the fiscal year to (apr to mar), Can it be done?
Will the Dynamics recalculate the previous years to match with the new fiscal year? as my service vendor advise it cannot be done which i to set up a new company entities for the new fiscal year

Thank you for your information. I would like to ask a follow up question. If I have already perform a year end closing, is the recalcuate will also included the year end closing. Or this change can only be done with no year end closing is performed. Thanks.

You can delete the year end transactions before you make changes to the fiscal calendars. Afterwards, you can create new opening transactions for a new start date of the year.

Is this mea, if i have done closing process as at 31/12/2016, then i want to change the year end date to 31/3/2017, So I re-perform the closing process as at 31/3/2016, first, then i follow the steps from the links enclosed by Dr. Ludwig, then is OK?
The changes you want to make is not very clear. You are mentioning a March date for both 2017 and 2016.
Lets assume: You have a year ended on 31/12/2016 and year end process was run, so there is an opening balance on 01/01/2017. Now you want to extend this year to 31/03/2017. Then indeed, you have to delete the opening transactions before making the changes in the periods.

If your fiscal year ended 31 december 2016 previously then you cannot extend it to 31 march 2017.
What you need is a kind of 'base period' that covers 01 jan 2017 until 31 march 2017.
This is a kind of short or bridging period that you need before you can setup the new fiscal year starting 01 April 2017 to 31 March 2018
