I have been tasked with ramping up a portal for cities in my state to be able to upload files to a Dynamics portal.
We have received the portal, and dynamic licenses and basically from there been left on our own to figure it out.
I am at a point where I have the portal spun up and I am trying to have permissions set up so that an employee from a city can only see/edit/upload for that city.
I am overwhelmed with how to set this up.. I have tried and errored at many steps. I'm sure I am missing some crucial steps... so any advice would be helpful.
Here is what I currently have
- I have locked the portal webpage to require a login. So once a user is logged in, they would then see the homepage, with the information related to their municipality
- The view on this homepage is table Submit File (dmf_submitfile)
- This Table is protected.
- I added some data to this table.
- I should only be able to see my records, but I am seeing:
- Andd when I try to create a record it throws an error:
- I have created a Web Role: Municipal Users with the following Associated Accounts.
- I have created a Active Table Permission called Municipality Permissions
