Standard cost Assembly BOM costing with Non Inventory Items

We have set up Assembly BOM's with Inventory and Non-Inventory items. When I look at the BOM cost share, it shows the cost of the non-inventory item and includes this in the total cost, but when we calculate the standard cost for the BOM the non-inventory item is ignored. Is this by "design" or a config issue? Any thoughts much appreciated.

Hi,

Cost of Non Inventory items is written off at the time of purchase so it will be ignored on standard cost calulation.

Also at the time of consumption no cost will be posted to G/L.
