Disable quick create save button after it was clicked

Hi All,

I'm facing kind of a weird situation with a quick crate form.

It takes quite a while ( ~30 sec ) for a specific quick create form to save - and during this period users are hitting the Save button like they've gone mad - which leads for multiple records and a mess for the company.

I was wondering if there's a way to disable the save button after the user clicks it (basically allow only 1 click) ?

I don't really need any validation done for this. Simply click and disable right away.

Thank you,

    So after adding this snippet to an onSave event - I get my quick create form stuck with the blue dots on top running again and again. The button looks like is disabled, at least from what I see in the debugger

    <button id="globalquickcreate_save_button_NavBarGloablQuickCreate" class="mscrm-globalqc-actionbutton" button_quickiframe_id="NavBarGloablQuickCreate" disabled="disabled">Save</button>

    function disable_onSave() {

    var eventArgs = econtext.getEventArgs();

    eventArgs.preventDefault();

    }

    Folks, What am I doing wrong here?

    Hi BodipaMM,

    I would suggest you open a case with Microsoft on this situation. I have worked with them on performance issues in the past and they have done a great job finding the issue with tracing they can enable on their side.  If you have plugins on this you can also do some tracing yourself.  msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg328574.aspx

    Thanks,

    Hi

    This sounds like you have an On-Prem version of CRM - I would go with Drew's suggestion and raise a support ticket

    Can it be on prem if I'm signing in through portal.office.com?

    No That would mean that it is online - If that is the case does it happen with all users?

    I also read somewhere here that this problem wI'll be fixed around July 2016. So What gives?

    Does that matter?  I'm assigned admin role

    If you have a look at your online deployment and the version - you should be on 2016 Update 1 by now, If you are it should go to support

    I see..

    I wonder about my script though - when it's called as onSave event is it to suppose to save the record and disable the button? Or is it suppose to NOT even save the record and disable the button on top of that?

    Thanks,
