SDT - Different Company Colours but same Dynamics database

Hi All, I have set up SDT using recommended settings and have copied the SDT files to a shared location. I have two instances set up on SQL one for the live environment and one for Testing.

I have set up bright colours for the Test environment and the Test message for when users log into using the same client but a different ODBC connection.

My question is, when the Dynamics and Company databases are restore in the Test instance, will the company colours and Test message stay or be overwritten by the restore of Dynamics?

Hi Irene,

The company colors will not be overwritten when you restore the database so long as your Test environment is using the same Debugger.xml file as your production environment. The settings are no longer stored in the company database.

I have never tried this on my environment. But, I think the settings will be overwritten by the restored Dynamics & Company databases if you restore the same in Test environment.
