RMS BARCODE SCANNER HELP !

Hello everyone,

I really need help with my barcode scanner.

I'm currently using RMS 2.0.

Every time I scan an item it inputs it into the POS like a keyboard. But I cannot keep scanning items, I would have to manually keep pressing enter after scanning an item and I would like to know how to configure this so that I can keep scanning items without having to press anything. Just automatically continuous scanning.

    Eddie - your scanner needs to be programmed to execute a carriage return after the barcode is scanned. Check the documentation that came with your scanner. Or check with the reseller / distributor that sold you the scanner; last, go to the web site of the scanner mfr and check for user guides, downloads, maybe FAQ section. If the scanner was purchased new, it should include a scan sheet, possibly one that would set ALL DEFAULTS (ie will recognize standard barcodes, do the carriage return, etc)  Hope this helps.

    Hello Eddie,

    If you could email me the brand and the model number of the scanner you are referring to I will find the scan set-up sheet and send it to you.  After that it should be fairly easy to set the carriage return.  If not, I can walk you through it.
