how Line No. and serial no. increment in custom table?

Hi all,

I have custom table in which two fields Sr No. and Line No.values should get automatic as

Serial No. must like 1,2,3, .... so on

line no. 1000,2000,3000....so on

how we get such in table

or can anyone tell me how in sales line table: line No. field get value as 1000,2000....so on

For Line No.

1. Add Line No. in last of the Primary Key

2. Set Page Propety AutoSplitKey = Yes

For Sr. No.

1. In Field Property of Table set AutoIncrement = Yes

thanks for response sr No. is working

for line No. added in last of primary key and page property autospiltkey to yes

but it increament serial no as 10000,7500,8750
