Dynamics Marketing Event pass pricing

Hi,

How would you set up an 'early bird price' for your event passes? Would you create duplicate passes and manage their visibility? Or is it possible to just change a pass price mid-way through the registration period?

Changing a price seems a lot less work, if the price change is to happen on a specific date, than to create duplicate passes for standard price and early bird price and then setting early bird passes as 'sold out' on that specific date.

Thanks in advance! -elisa

    Hi elisak,

In my opinion, I thought that creating duplicate passes is a common method.

This article also takes the same method.

    https://rocketcrm.co.uk/d365_for_marketing-how_to_create_an_event3/

It will display in drop-down options when early bird ticket sold out.

You can change No. of passes allocated and pass price in any time during registration period.

    Thanks so much!

In my case, we have so many different levels of passes and passes for several days. Duplicating the lines of passes seems just too confusing.

In the article, the early bird tickets are limited by a very low qty. This means it will sell out quickly. In my case, early bird tickets are limited by date. Which means I would need to add in new tickets at a later state if I do not wish for all of them to show simultaneously from the beginning and manually set the number of remaining early bird tickets to 0.

I'm happy to hear that pass price can be changed any time. I think fixes the issue with prices that get more expensive gradually.

Would you happen to know if its possible to use both free (= zero priced) and paid passes on the same event? In some cases we have an event that it self is free, but we would like to sell optional dinner passes.

    Thanks again! -elisa

    Hi elisa,

Yes, you can set both paid pass and the free on the same event.

Currently no.of passes allocated and price are the few fields for setting a pass, you could suggest your idea for future feature:
