Make Notes Read-only in the Timeline for Case Entity

Hello,

I have a new requirement where user should not be able to make changes to the existing notes. I tried to check the security roles and find all the settings as expected (Create & Read). Problem is users without Write and Delete permissions are still able to edit/delete the Note from the timeline. I would like to block this for all. Is there a way I can achieve this?

    Hi Harsha,

    We can use a real-time workflow to prevent users from updating and deleting notes on Case.

    Create a worklfow for Note, uncheck "Run this workflow in the background".

    Change Scope to Organization, check "Record fields change" and "Record is deleted", then edit to select all fields.

    Add step "Check condition", set filter as follow.

    Then add step "Stop workflow", select status to Canceled. Set Properties to write a message.

    Activate the workflow.

    This way, whenever the note of Case is updated or deleted, user will see a message and the note will not be updated or deleted.
