dex.ini setting to control default printer

I'm trying to assist a customer determine what settings in the dex.in file can be added to control the user's default printer.  Each of ther users launch the application using their own unique DEX.INI file to establish their default printer.  This is not working consistently for each user.  Also, if a user changes their default printer, the setting are not saving out to their DEX.INI file.

Can you provide documentation that shows how to edit the DEX.INI file to establish a default printer?

Thanks,

Beth

    Hi Beth,

The only Dex,ini setting I am aware of that sets the 'default' printer' is if you are using Named Printers. One thing I have seen is if the user does not have the 'right' to change the dex.ini file, any new Named Printer settings will not change for that user.

Can your user change and save changes to the Dex.ini file? You can check this out using Notepad.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
