Field missing in Excel Add-in

Hello,

I hope this message finds you well.

I'm currently facing an issue with Excel Add-In:

I've downloaded the Vendor Payment Journal Line and I'd like to add the "Document Number" field, but I can't find it in the Available Fields. I've also checked the Selected Fields and I can assure it's not there either.

I have also checked the entity and the field seems to be available.

Does anyone know how I'd be able to add the field to the Excel file?

Thanks in advance,

Mariana Duarte

    Hi Mariana,

This is due to the Access modifier property set to private on the field:

Safest bet would be to create an extension of the Data Entity (VendorPaymentJournalLineEntity) and add again the DocumentNum field to expose it to the Excel add-in, and make sure the access modifier property is set to Public.

    Hope this helps.

    Hello Mariana,

If not all of the fields that you need are included in the standard entity then you need to ask a developer for some help to get the entity extended.

If you don't have a developer at hand then you can use electronic reporting as an alternative for the import/export of your data. The electronic reporting option requires, however, some deeper knowledge about this functionality.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
