FRx Drilldown Viewer w7 64 Bit

Has anyone successfully installed FRx SP12 on a 64 bit W7 computer and had the drilldown viewer work? All I get is a blank screen after the report runs and the DDV appears. I can print the report, send it to Excel just not view it with the DDV.

It may be an XML issue, since the DDV uses XML as its backend. FRx uses some older XML components as well as the more recent ones. Not sure if it is an issue specific to 64-bit or not, but you may want to try reinstalling XML.

Hopefully Process Monitor as Francisco suggests may show a file not found or something for the drill32.exe application.

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    XML 4 SP2 - file name is msxml.msi

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    XML 3 SP7 - file name is msxml3.msi

See if this file exists, as it doesn't by default. C:\Windows\system32\msxml.dll

If this doesn't work try getting a 32-bit Windows 7 machine working and confirm it is okay there.

    Thanks

    Ryan

I have even tried just pointing to the FRD file, The DDV opens but the screen is blank. I am not finding much on this on the web. I do not get any error messages just a blank screen. I will try Process Monitor.

Yes I have it running ok, Windows 7 enterprise 64-bit, FRx SP 12 running ok, no issues, You could try using Process Monitor from sysinternals and then trace the launch of Drill Down viewer and detect any environment issues you may have
