Hi everyone, knowing that 365 Commerce comes along with OOTB eCommerce website features.

Does it  also come along with OOTB feature for Kisok/Self-checkout?

Thanks.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the response.

Seems like D365 Commerce has no OOTB Kiosk.

Wonder if the D365 Commerce of POS features have this capability where it can use setup POS in two ways.

    1. Normal POS functionality where usage is mainly for Staff only

    2. using POS features but configure like Kiosk functionality where Customers can only see Products and do Payment using Terminal.

    Thanks.

    Hi minibl,

I'd suggest you take a closer look at the screen layouts functionality:
    docs.microsoft.com/.../pos-screen-layouts

In there, you define which button grids are available:
    docs.microsoft.com/.../add-pos-operations

For your requirement, you would need to define at least two layouts - one for the regular staff and one for the customer checkout.
In addition, you will need to set proper user rights/permissions on the POS operations so the self-service user cannot do everything, e.g. and especially search for existing customers:
    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamicsax-2012/appuser-itpro/set-up-permissions-and-operations#set-up-a-pos-permission-group
    https://cloudblogs.microsoft.com/dynamics365/no-audience/2015/11/09/modifying-retail-pos-permissions-and-operations/

Since the payment methods are defined per store, you might even end up with an own "Self-service store" to limit the possible payment method options - because I am unsure how you would be able to narrow it down to, let's say, card payments only. Probably you can achieve this through a customization?

I hope you find this answer helpful.
If so, please mark your question as answered.

    Thanks!
