Good Experts!

Before i can customize our AX, need to ask if anyone here is the same as our requirements and also seeking for help to much better way to do, because  the existing Fixed Asset is not compatible with our Requirments

What we want is can entry multiple details base on the quantity in one Fixed Asset.

Example:

The asset is Dell Vostro (Laptop) under "COMSYS" Fixed Assets Group and it has 5 quantity.

Can Insert record  base on how many quantity was placed.:

 1. Serial Number
 2. Unit Cost
 3. Technical Details
 4. Location
 5. Etc.

Hoping for your kind and Consideration with regards to my concern.

Thank you very much.

    Hi,

The information that you listed are just base information that help identifying the fixed asset. Those info's won't affect the ledger postings if - as you mentioned - no modification is implemented.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hello JEMT,

The information that you listed is so-called non-financial information that are tracked in the fixed asset base record form. Example:

    8484.fa.png

What influences your fixed asset ledger postings is everything that is setup in the books (value models in AX2012). As the information you provided does not affect the books (value models), your ledger transactions (e.g. depreciation postings) are not affected.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
