Update task% completed in Incident

Hi,

I do not understand how the  task % works .when does it change? because I tried opening the incident but it  locked  6036.task.PNG

    The field description is: Type the percentage complete value for the task to track tasks to completion.

    Type being the key word here!

    You either type in a value when working on the task (as a user, must show the field on the form), or you update it programatically based on specific business rules. Up to you.
