multiple funding source have different currency in one project contract

Hi  all

The local currency is CNY, then a project contract have two funding source A and B,and the allocation rule is :

A:40%

B:60%

the currency of invoiced to customer A is CNY, and the currency invoiced to customer B is USD.

Then if I enter a timesheet, the amount is 100 CNY

So when I invoice to the customers, I want the amount to A is 40 CNY,  and B is 6 USD( if the currency rate between CNY and USD is 10:1)

So how to solve this problem?

Thank you!

    Hello Jane.Gu,

To my knowledge this is something that is currently not supported by the standard application.

    Here is a possible workaround:

    1. Create a project in your local currency - in my case it is the USD - and post your transactions with this currency as usual. Note: The project has only a single customer as a funding source and does not make use of funding rules.

    2. Adjust the recorded Transaction and split it to a the project where you recorded the transaction (60% in my case) and a separate subproject (40% in my case). Note: The subproject has only a single funding source - customer B - and the CNY Setup as the sales currency.

    3. Before posting the adjustment that the sales prices and currency match to what you require.

    4. Post the adjustment

    5. Create an invoice proposal for the first project in currency 1 (USD in my case)

    6. Create another invoice proposal for the sub-project in the other currency (CNY in my case).

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Dear Ludwig

Thank you for your answer. But the project must be only one and can not be split into a subproject in my case.

    Thanks!

    Hello Jane.Gu,

In this case I would suggest that you talk to a developer and discuss this issue in order to decide whether and how to implement a system modification.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
