Hi all (:

I need to create a process and send an automated email with an attached file ( located in the entity notes section). How can I do that?

i know development might be required in this case, what are the applications I need for the development environment? And how can I integrate them?

i am following the given solution on my project sassastatuscheck350.co.za/ you can also try this. It will work.

To create a process that sends an automated email with an attached file located in the entity notes section, you can use a combination of workflow rules and email templates within your CRM or automation platform.

First, set up a workflow rule triggered by the desired criteria (e.g., when a new note is added to the entity). Then, configure the workflow to include an action that sends an email using a pre-defined email template that includes the attached file as an attachment.

To ensure the correct file is attached to the email, you can use dynamic placeholders or fields within the email template that reference the appropriate entity and note fields. Finally, test and activate the workflow to automate the email process.

I’m actually using the online version, and new to plugin programming. could you please be more specific and send me the direct link to the code?

Also, do I need any developing tools besides Visual Studios?

Then, again dev is not the only answer. I believe you're on-prem. You can try to use Workflows with extensions to do so - github.com/.../v1.5.1.1

I have the step you need in the toolkit - github.com/.../AttachNotesToEmailAndSend.cs

If you anyway want to go code-way - you have an example in that Git repo.

You actually have no need in development tools. You can use Power Automate for that purpose:
