I forgot I have a workflow that sends an email when a lead is assigned to particular team.
I did an import of 6,000+ leads to that team. I got a small batch of 10 notifications and remembered. I went to the workflow and deactivated it.
For the last several hours I've still been getting batches of notifications. Will I wake up in the morning and have 5,000 email notifications?
Is it too late, or will it stop soon? Is there some place else I can stop it? Thanks!!

Oh wait, I spoke too soon. I just got another 20. I guess it sends these in batches, and apparently it takes the night off!....
Thanks! I totally forgot about system jobs. I actually went in there to see what I could learn, and it doesn't look like there are any more in progress or planned.
For some lucky reason, I only received 10 more notices over night instead of 6k! Maybe the slowness of our CRM paid off.
Just like Hamzeh says, deactivation of the process does not affect already running workflows. The only way to stop these is to locate each runinng instance in the System Jobs list and then cancel them. Judging from the time of your post, this might already be too late :)
hi, when you deactivate it, it means it will not fire again when the condition is meet , not stopping the current sending emails batch.
