Hi Forum,

I am in process to explore Continuity plan & Continuity scheduling feature in AX 2012 R3 new features in Mater Planning module.

I checked almost all blogs but not a single document available for the same.

So can I know if anybody have any reference material or have knowledge about what is the use of the same ?

Regards,

Nitin Patel
In a continuity program, which is also known as a recurring order program, customers receive regular product shipments according to a predefined schedule. Each shipment can contain a different product, as in the case of a book-of-the-month club, or the same product can be sent repeatedly.
Hello Evert, can you elaborate more now on what is the purpose of this parameter?

Continuity plans and continuity programs are different concepts. The latest are well documented. Found nothing about continuity plans.

Continuity scheduling works like a forecast and builds on the continuity programs that have been setup.  Normally, continuity child sales orders are not created until it comes time to ship them.  Therefore, to have master planning consider the future demand of these continuity programs, the continuity scheduling looks at the continuity programs that are active and creates a "Continuity forecast" that can then be used by master planning to generate planned purchase orders.
