Hi,

We need a report that displays all permissions assigned to users and their respective security groups. If it's possible, it would be nice to be able to Open the permission set details and see all the permissions inside that too.

For instance, we have a security group called "AP Specialist" with 10 specific permissions. We need a report that shows all users within this security group along with the permissions assigned to them.

Is there an application or customization available to achieve this?

This is a common requirement in Dynamics 365 Business Central, especially for security audits and access reviews. Out of the box, BC doesn’t provide a full “User Permissions by Security Group” report with detailed drill-down into permission sets.

You can check the "Permission Sets by User" and "User Groups" pages, but:

1. They don’t combine users, groups, and permissions in one view

2. There's limited visibility into table-level permissions

3. No exportable or detailed reporting available

To get a full report with user-level and table-level permissions, a custom extension would be the best approach.

To create a report in Business Central that shows all permissions assigned to users and their respective security groups, including detailed permissions within each set, you can use built-in features like the Permission Sets and Security Groups pages, develop a custom report using AL, or explore third-party extensions on Microsoft AppSource.
