MSCRM 2013 : To add a new button when status of appointment is completed.

Hi Team,

I am involved in a requirement, where I need to add a custom button in Appointment entity so as to work the same as 'Activate' button, but when the status of appointment is completed.

Problem :

As of now, we know, that when the status of appointment is in canceled stage, we see a activate button so as to reactivate the appointment (status=canceled to status=active).

Now my requirement is to add the same button, when the status of appointment is in completed state.

I am using Ribbon workbench, Please let me know how to do the same.

Many thanks !

    Hi Nikhil,

You could add a Form State Rule to detect when the record is disabled due to being inactive - msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334563.aspx

    Hope this helps,

    Scott

    Hi Scot,

Juts confirm, Do you mean that whenever appointment status is completed . The form is in Disabled state ?

Does the same applies for all entities ?

    Thanks,

    Hi Nikhil,

Most of the entities in CRM use (0) active and (1) inactive status, but there are other entities which have other status and status reasons, you can refer below post. All activity type entity when completed is converted to inactive state (readonly)

    Hi Nikhil,

If the form is disabled due to the state then this display rule will work for any entity.

It won't work on subgrid buttons though.

    Hope this helps.
