Hitting the following error while deploying a managed solution to an online instance.

I have been assigned the System Customizer role and some other tweaks to this role.

RoleService::VerifyCallerPrivileges failed. User: 862e206a-8551-e911-a96a-000d3ab6da44, PrivilegeName: prvAppendConvertRule, PrivilegeId: de2b8ae5-988c-428e-8017-3ed4a6678db2, Depth: Global, BusinessUnitId: fdc3a8ee-b833-dd11-9959-0019b9e1f16d

In this case however, made a rookie mistake.

The deployment issues were because the newly created security roles in the solution being deployed required more access to the entities than what had been granted to the System Customizer security roles

As Dynamics allows to assign permissions if and only if the assignor has permissions on that entity.

Hi

The error message complaints that you need the following permissions, make sure these are granted to Customizer role
