Delete line in a sales order with shipped status

A sales order was set with status shipped.

This order needed to be shortshipped and I'm trying to delete a line of that item but get an error notification.

Is there a way to delete the line or change the number of items when the order has shipped status in the system?

    Hi,

    If the order has done with shipment, there is no way to delete any line of that order, you can try after undo shipment.

    Hi,

    You need to follow below steps

    1. Go to Posted Sales Shipments

    2. Find the correct posted shipment go to the Line Page.

    3. Find the correct item

    4. Click on Undo Shipment button.

    Open Posted Sales Shipments and stand on the line You want to reverse, and above lines press Functions -->Undo shipment.

    If by Shortshipped You mean that no all quantities will be shipped - then You can just provide information in Sales Order line fields "Qty.to Ship" and "Qty. to Invoice" - and these quantities will be processed when doing posting. After invoice is posted Sales order will remain in the list, but if Qty.Shipped = Qty.Invoiced for all Lines, then Sales order can be deleted.
