Counting Reason Codes

Hi,
 
With Counting reason codes,  I was looking to see if I can disable or delete any existing reason codes I have in the system.
 
Doesn't seem to be any way to disable them,  so was wondering if there would be any issues if I deleted a reason code that has previously ben selected elsewhere in the system.
