Routing NDR's back into a CRM Queue

Posted on by 5

Hi, we have CRM 2016 OnPremise and Exchange 2010 with a central Email Queue. The Problem ist when sending a Mail from CRM the Non-Delivery Report/Receipt (NDR) will not be routed back to the sending CRM Queue. Is here a new way to solve this Problem. I heard about Exchange SMTP extensions that router the NDR as Attachment back etc. what is the official way to solve this issue.  Do we have the same Problem with Server-Side-Sync instead of the email Router ?

Thank You.

RE: Routing NDR's back into a CRM Queue

    Hi Jens

    First:

Thanks you for your Answer, "a new hope is rising".

Just today i had a meeting with the customer, and had to tell her, that i have  no solution yet ...

    Second:

    May i ask a Follow-Up question:

because I already tried that approach, but on my Server (Exchange 2010) the Server also Ignores NDR's in applying his rules.

At last he does not forward them.

Can you tell me how you got your rule running with NDR's using server side rules?

Perhaps I just used false Conditions  actions ...

    I Tried:

The message type is Non-Delivery Report

       After the message arrives and...

       the message is Non-Delivery Report.

       Do the following...

forward the message to 'emailofRecipient' and 'myPersonelAdress' as an attachment

And move the message to folder 'NDR'

And stop processing more rules on this message

He Moves it, but does not send it to the adresses given

    Thanks in Advance

    Stefan

Of course, the reply from MS was that E-Mail Router is not able to work with this type of "e-mail messages". the solution is to create a roule on exchange service that creates a new email with this NDR as attachement. this is the only thing that works for me.
