Hi,

We are facing a serious challenge in our AX POS..

the Quantity is showing wrongly sometimes.. for example if the quantity for the sold item is 1 it will show 0.8 or 0.5 , this caused to us many lose in the sold amount due to this wrong quantity as below:

1 X 100 = 100

0.5X100=50

Any suggestion?

    hi Steve,

this qty is showing on POS screen or on in Ax after the syncing.

please check the qty in RetailTransactionsalesTrans Table for the particular transaction whether the qty is corrected updated or not.

and Please share the screen shot so that we can easily find the root cause.

and please check, is any unit conversion is used for this particular item and please tell me the what are the rounding method is used for inventory UOM.

    Hi Mohd,

The Quantity in the is showing in decimal 0.5 or 0.8 , all our items unit is PCS, no conversion, and no rounding or smart rounding is used. below topic is exactly same issue.

no, and this issue is happening from time to time , if the cashier catch it, he will void the transaction and scan again the items and it will be ok.. but some time he can not catch specially if there is a lot of customers, so we lose money by this quantity issue.

    hi steve,

Currently there is no solution of this and this is a serious bug, so from my point of view i suggest you that with the help of your technical team you have to debug this error on real time transaction  so that you can find the root cause of this bug.

    Hi Mohd,

So if this is a bug, an upgrade should resolve the issue!! but i wonder if this a common known issue or not!!

Currency form's Rounding Rules, Prices field with 4 decimal places when changed will affect the prices in Retail POS and it may also be affecting the dec precision of quantity.

This is an old post I recall ondynamicsax.blogspot.ae/.../retail-pos-amount-decimal-places.html where the screenshot for the pos seems to have the same problem with quantity.

Let us know you get on this is a topic that many will want to see resolved.

    Hi Steve,

I got same issue as you mentioned the link for my post. I wasn't able to find any issue on LCS regarding this, please let me know if you got any luck here.

For the time being I'm working on a trigger in the channel DB on POS, this will remove the transactions once users clicks the payment method. This is just a temporary solution in order to avoid the money loss.

    Thanks
