System View Issue – Inconsistent Behaviour Across Users and Filter Mismatch (MS D365 CRM)

Hi Community,

I'm encountering a critical issue with a system view I created. I am discussing this in context of MS Dynamics CRM. The view behaves inconsistently across different users:

  • For some users, the view loads correctly with the expected filters and displays the records as intended.

  • For others, the view either fails to load records (view loads but data does not), or it times out entirely.

  • When affected users click on "Edit Filters," sometimes the filter criteria shown are completely different from the original ones I configured. I’ve confirmed in real-time that these users have not customized or modified the view themselves.

For security reasons I cannot attach screenshots of the issue as this is happening in production environment.

This inconsistency is causing confusion and impacting productivity. I’ve already verified user roles and permissions, and everything seems to be in order and all above users are having System Admin role. This is not the issue of caching, security roles.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? Any guidance or troubleshooting steps would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

The issue likely stems from user-specific settings or customizations, view complexity, or server-side performance. Try these steps:
    1. Reset user personalizations in CRM settings.
    2. Clear browser cache or test in Incognito mode.
    3. Simplify the view to reduce data volume or complexity.
    4. Check for field-level security or personal views that may affect data visibility.
    5. Review server-side logs for any errors or timeouts.
If the issue persists, try recreating the view to see if it resolves the inconsistency.

    Thanks
