Hi,
Currently i am trying to setup the following flow using mixed-mode (Lean Manufacturing+Discrete Manufacturing):
This scheme is the easiest one to show you what i want to do.
- I have in the first rectangle the raw materials warehouse. Here is where I purchase all the materials that I will need for my production process.
- Second rectangle (different warehouse) I have a resource (machine) where i will use productions orders (instead Lean). I want to control it with discrete manufacturing because this process is the bottleneck of my production and it's important to control setup times in order to reduce times and improve that.
- Finally the last rectangle (third one, another warehouse) it will be Lean Manufacturing where I get the final product.
I setup the above flow in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 and my main goal is to refill all the warehouses using transfer kanbans instead transfer orders (each arrow is a transference). I did that in Lean manufacturing process, all replenishment from Raw material wharehouse and Discrete production are done through transfer kanban corretly. But from Raw material warehouse to discrete production I can't setup that. There are any way to do that or it is just impossible to replenishment a resource (discrete manufacturing) using transfer kanbans?
This is what I already tried:
- In the same production flow I added an transfer activity to transfer raw materials to resource (discrete production). I created a new kanban rule (Type: withdrawal; Replenishment strategy: Event) and BOM line event: Automatic. But when i create and estimate a production order it didn't create any transfer job.
I hope someone can help me with this issue,
Thank you in advance
