Hi

I cannot edit in Excel in the 365 Business Central on the cloud (our Business Central is on cloud). When I opened the 'Edit in Excel', I got an error a message' you don't have permission to use this add-in. Contact your system administrator to request access'. I asked our local IT but they don't know what's wrong and how to fix the error.

    Hi

Please check with your system admin to make sure you have the right permission. These are permissions you need.

    Thanks

    Hi

You need to have all 4 permissions that listed in my screenshot. Can you check for the rest as well?

Hi,This does not appear to be a BC permission issue.
I think It's your company's Office 365 security policy that doesn't allow users to install Add-ins for Excel.
You can try it out by contacting your company's Office 365 administrator.

In fact, our company has similar restrictions......

    Hope this will help.

    Thanks.

RE: Edit Excel in Business Central

We have the same issue that Edit in Excel connection gives error.
It was working until 22.0 - After tenant upgraded to 22.1 it asked for the Dynamics office add-ins.
.. this add-in is just not working.

Other tenants still on 22.0 can still connect!

I believe its related to BC - This office add-in will need to be added into AD of azure - I did not figure out yet!
