Recently, we have added our dimensions to DimensionSetEntity and DimensionCombinationEntity to enable user to enters dimension separately in Excel. For example consider Cost Center dimension. User must be able to enter cost center in excel template for account and offset account. When account or offset account is ledger, dimensions are added to main account correctly after publishing the excel and those related field is remained filled. But when the account or offset account type is not ledger which means needed to enters default dimensions, the values are not saved and not shown in the financial dimensions. Actually after publishing excel these fields become blank.  All the things have been applied for DimensionSetEntity is same as DimensionCombinationEnitity. I check account and offset default dimensions, It seems default dimension are not being filled by excel template.

is there any form in D365 which user can enters financial dimension separately in an excel and it works properly?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Nastaran,

I don't know of a form where you can enter financial dimensions separately in Excel. I know there were a few issues in the past with some of the entities around dimensions and the Excel add-in. If this this still an issue for you, you may want to open a ticket with Microsoft support.

    Hi Nastaran,

In the small amount of research I did on this, I don't think this is an issue with setup. I don't think this would be considered a bug either, but I'm not certain. I think the best course of action would be to open a support request with Microsoft so an engineer can investigate this further.

    Thanks,
