Workflow status check

Hi everyone! I'm trying to develop a workflow where I check if an option set field is set to a proper value depending on whether the user is deactivating a record or not. How can I check for this? I know the option to run a workflow before the status changes but it only needs to run on a record deactivation, not an activation. Any thoughts? Thanks!

    Hi,

     what do you want to achieve?

     You can always add a condition step to the workflow to check the status - it will run for all status changes, but, because of that condition, it will only do something for inactive statuses.

    I just realized that if I check the current status and it is active, then the record status must be in the process of being changed to deactivated. Duh! Thanks for the help!
