We have GP10 with Service Pack 3 and SQL Server 2005. Currently each users have a separate access to the GP system .We use Windows as the OS and our AD sits on windows . Could we integrate GP10 with the AD for single sign on. This will help in multiple ways so that user does not have to login with a different username and password , single sign on ensures that once the user moves out of company the access is deleted based on the removal from AD, less administration work, etc. Any thoughts would be much appreciated

Ian Stewart's suggestion will work once you upgrade to GP 2010, but Remember User was not available in GP 10.
The nearest I was ever able to get was to use a macro to log the users into GP so they didn't need to enter the details each time: www.azurecurve.co.uk/.../automate-login-to-microsoft-dynamics-gp-10.
The drawback of this is that it isn't all that secure as the password is stored in plain text, although it was in the user's Documents directory.
Another solution is one David Musgrave mentioned to me in the comments of my post: Dynamics Toolbox (formerly Omni Tools) sold by Rockton Software (David wrote the original version).
You can try fastpath's config ad product
www.gofastpath.com/.../config-ad.aspx
my colleague implemented fp config ad for a multi site installation in his previous job and said it's pretty good for what it is
You can achieve a sort of single sign on.
In the GP user login window you will see a tick box called 'Remember User'. If you tick this on and then sign in - next time you launch GP it will go straight past this window and go to the company login window. [This tick box is only available if you have selected Use SQL in the GP user set up window].
On the company login window there is also a tick box called 'remember this company'. - so you could tick this also. with both ticked, when you launch GP it will go straight into the company.
I know a lot of people have asked this question about AD and GP. The reality is the GP user security is an extra level of security that protects your financial data from prying eyes.
Hi Tommy,
"Could we integrate GP10 with the AD for single sign on. "
NO - GP uses SQL Server Authentication and is not active directory integrated.
Cheers!
