Hi,
is there a standard report which shows where to find all items with a given lot no., sold ones and on stock?
the report should show the customers, whom the items were sold and the locations/bins where the rest is to be found.
background: items with lot no. X are of bad quality, out of due date, etc. they must be sent back for control/disposal. the customers have to be informed.
if there is none, what would be the best way to develope that kind of report? item ledger entries, warehouse entries, ...
regards
I totally agree with Kim here. You should use the item tracing page that is in standard BC.
I think that will give you the information you need.

Have you looked at the Tracing screens in BC?
Hi, there is no standard report to run a "traceability report" in BC.
I have developed one for every project with pharma and food companies.
The report is based on item ledger entries but if you want to include details like customer name, ship-to and the location/ bin where you keep existing stock, you need more tables like customer, ship-to address code and warehouse entry. You can probably get away with the warehouse entry table and use the bin content if you pass the lot number as a filter in the report.
