Net price and profit % pr. pcs on orderlines and reports 1304, 1305, 1306, 1307

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

This question might need to be divided into 2:

  1. Order lines - I would like to have a column with the "netprice pr. pcs. after discount" and a column with our profit %. Most of the time we have more than 1 pcs. on an orderline, and need to see what the pcs. price is after discount and our profit % on this line.
  2. Reports 1304, 1305, 1306 and 1307 need to have the variable available so we can show the netprice pr. pcs. after discount.

One other thing, when you have entered your descriptions in the multilanguage editor remember to press the OK button if not your descriptions will be lost and you will have to start over again.

    Hi Jesper

The labels are defined the same place as the variables, just under "Text Constants" tab:

when you push the button with the 3 dots or press F6 while standing in the column to the right you can define the description in the languages you may need:

Thank you Benny - it works great!

Where is it possible to make a label for this column? (NetUnitPrice_Lbl) and where can I change the output text of the labels?

I will see where or how I can take this course, but I think I am near the end of alterrations.

    Hi Jesper

Adding netprice pr. unit in report 1305:

First you create a new variable:

    3441.Picture4.jpg

Next you will add the variable as column under the line dataitem:

    6116.Picture3.jpg

And last you will add the code to calculate the netprice:

If you have to make a lot of report changes, I can recommend you to take course in RDLC reporting for Dynamics NAV.

    Hi Benny,

Could you walk me through this as you did with the other issue I had. I keep getting faults and it is probably because I don't know how to input the calculation code correctly.

    Thanks.

    Hi Jesper

    1. You will need a developer license to add these to the order line page, and if you don't have a developer license you will have to talk to your NAV partner and have them make it.

    2. In the reports you will have to create a variable "NETUNITPRICE" which you will put in as a column under the "Line" dataitem. The code to calculate the "NETUNITPRICE" should be something like this:

    NetUnitPrice := "Line Amount" / Quantity;
