SharePoint URL on form

Hi,
I need to place a SharePoint site url link on the form. I thought of placing a custom button and write a javascript function to open the url on button click. But then login page for SharePoint authentication appears when the button is clicked.
Is this the right way to do it? We are on CRM 2016 on-prem and did not enable the server side integration. Can someone please share some ideas on how to make this work? Thanks for any help!

Is the SharePoint site added in IE under trusted sites?

Maybe worth reaching out to the SharePoint community as well? To me this looks like a SharePoint issue

    HiRidhima,

I know that, but it pops up the login window even if I put it in the iframe.

    Thanks.

    Thanks Radu,

It does the same thing if I paste the url in the browser.

And, we did not even configure the SharePoint integration.

    Hi roxanna,

You can add web resource on the iframe and show that iframe on the form. It will show link on the form.

    Thanks,

    Hi Roxanna,

If you copy & paste the URL, that would be generated by the JS function, directly in the browser - do you see the same behavior?

I'd probably start looking at the SharePoint configuration - i suspect most likely the issue would be coming from there.

    Hope this helps!
