Google Chrome 75 Update breaks CRM 2016 On Premise 8.10.359

Several Pages in our CRM solution no longer work under Google Chrome 75 update.  Luckily most of the pages are system administrator pages but our system administrators are having to switch to other browsers to do certain tasks.

When we hit the affected pages, the CRM header loads and the page is blank except for the loading gif (dots spinning in a circle) and the page never loads.

Pages affected:

All Pages Under Settings > Security

Settings > Email Configuration > Email Server Profiles

Settings > Email Configuration > Mailboxes

Settings > Email Configuration > Server-Side Synchronization Monitoring

(note, that 2 of the links work under Settings > E-mail Configuration, but they don't navigate to a new page, they open popup windows)

Settings > Data Management > Any Page that isn't a popup.

Settings > Auditing ...

etc

So it looks like Any Page under Settings, that has links that navigate to a new page is affected.

There are no errors in the F12 console.

So I think I figured out that this is a caching issue of some sort.  If I turn off caching, the pages load.  Anyone have any ideas on a better work around?   If not, I'm afraid Chrome will no longer be a good option for us for CRM.

    Thanks,

    Coty

    Hi

I have come across some issues experienced personally and/or reported by other users in the community after they updated the Chrome to V73 or V75.  Most of the issues reported are on classic UI.

Chrome seems to be increasingly becoming more strict on security and clean standard compliance markup. UCI is more standard compliant UI as it's built from scratch whereas the classic UI has loads of elements inherited from older versions of CRM.

It may also be worth testing this on Incognito mode and see if you still have to disable cache to get it working

    Hi Kokulan,

Good idea with the Icognito mode, that indeed gets past the page load problems.   Although not a fix, it's a quick an easy work around that we probably will use.

We do not use the Interactive Service Hub, although we do have that application in our menu.  I did load it up to test if it gets around the issue, but It did not provide a settings\security link in the menu, so not sure if it moved or not.  The service hub is probably not an option for us though since we have a couple years of form customizations in the normal UI.

Thanks for the ideas so far.

A workaround could be to disable the Chrome flag #enable-lazy-frame-loading. The issue is that Chrome is lazy loading iframes. DevTools pointed me in that direction, since the views would turn up periodically while DevTools were enabled.

This isn't a sure-fire solution, but the views at least load more than 50 % of the time.

Unfortunately, this flag do not fix issue at least for me

    Hi partner,

    This bug occurred in EMEA.

The version 76 of Chrome is scheduled for July 30th, which will help this bug, but the official has not yet confirmed about the date.
