Are there any tools or tricks optimized for better managing attachments in D365? Some users were attaching documents/files using the wrong file type and the wrong record in D365. I'd like to mass delete (or edit) redundant or broken attachment links as well - if possible.
Hi Joey8922,
From your message, I don't understand exactly if it is related to one table or more and how many records. What exactly do you mean with the broken attachment links?
Depending on the number of attachments, you can decide to manually delete them or create a runnable class which can automate certain parts.
Hy,
if you need more comfort and featuress handling attachments of diffenet kinds and processes as well as organizational integration you should consider to evaluate an Add-On to F&O for Document management.
Appsource could be a good starting point. Geschäfts-Apps – Microsoft AppSource
Thanks Andreas, I wasn't able to find any available apps for F&O (/Finance & Supply Chain)
Hello Andre and thanks for the response. When I review the DocuRef (or DocuDeletedRef) tables, I see attachments that used to be hosted on our old fileserver. How can I find which record in D365 these attachments belong to - if there are no clues in the attachment name or description?
The DocuRef table has reference table ID and record ID fields which is the link to the original record where these attachments referred to.
