Send Error Message email from Integration Manager with Outlook closed

We are importing journal entries using a simple GUI I created to kick off a command line run of Integration Manager.  It works great and users can't get creative with the integration settings.  Users place their journal entry source file in their own folder, and there is a Inputbox script to change the file path.  One of the qwerks of IM is that the integration rejection (rjt) files are created in the same location as that of the source file that is setup in the integration sources.  The rjt file location cannot be modified.  This creates a problem when multiple users are importing journal entries one right after another.  The reject files are overwritten with each integration.

To help the users get their rjt files before they are overwritten, I have an after integration script to email the file.  The script works perfectly as long as Outlook is open.  But.. we would really prefer to have Outlook closed.

Does anyone know if it is possible for IM to send the emails with Outlook closed and how to set it up?

I tried coding the email to send using CDO which only requires the smtp address, it worked, but I could not get the rjt file as an attachment.  Microsoft seems to have limited the abilities of VBscript in Integration Manager and the AddAttachments method is not allowed.   ERROR: Object doesn't support this property or method: 'objMessage.AddAttachment'

We are running GP2010 SP3, Integration Manager 11 SP2, and Office 2010 ProPlus on a Terminal Server (Server 2008) environment.

Users don't have their individual email accounts setup in Outlook on the Terminal Server because of mailbox size.

The "Send To" address has to be hard coded in the IM script and I don't want to create custom integrations for each user just to send error messages to their individual mailboxes (that would be a maintenance nightmare),  so I have created a single mailbox  that is used to send/receive the messages from IM, and users have the shared mailbox attached to Outlook on thier own desktops.

An option would be to include the content of the rjt file in the body of the email instead of as an attachment, but I haven't had time to figure out if that is possible in the limited VBscript of IM.

Ideas?

This is not something that is really supported Diana. But I can tell you that you will have to have Outlook open when you try to send the email. IM is probably not coded to launch a new instance of Outlook, I assume it just looks for the open session.
