Dears ,

We are using AX 2012 R2 and i need to prevent users to Dismissal an item from store if it is with no available balance in stock .

Hi,

This requires two checkboxes to be set to false.

1. "Negative inventory" checkbox of the related item model group.

2. "Negative inventory" checkbox of the related warehouse.

Hi,

The one by the item model group is global. If you set it to true, items with that item model group can always have negative inventory. No matter where they are. Therefore when this one is ticked, the one on warehouse form will be ignored.

However, you might want your items to have negative inventory in some warehouses only. To do this, you do not tick the one on item model group form and tick the one on the warehouse that you like.

one more clarification please is this prevent the negative balance in posting stage or even starting the transaction in save mode .

Hi Aser,

I could not clearly understand your question. But imagine the on-hand form, if you do not allow negative inventory you will never see a value less than zero there.

My question is : Can we prevent the user from putting quantity more than the on-hand and cannot leave the line unless putting less than or equal available inventory.

see attachment i already putt 301 although we have only 288 . i don't want this to be accepted .
