Hi:

If you copy a Built-In report within Custom Report Layouts, export its layout, modify that layout, and import it, does that layout then "override" the Built-In layout?

In other words, does the modified layout automatically nd permanently become the layout used for that report upon printing?

Not necessarily.

You will have to chose the report layout as your default.

For sales and purchase documents you can do that in report selection sales and report selection purchase.
