I added a lot with too many characters and now I can't view the "items by lot"

A few weeks ago I reclassed some inventory to lot code that was too long for the system (more than 10 characters). I've removed that inventory from the system, but now any time I try to open this item in "items by lot", I get the following error message.

Below are the entries I made that caused this issue.

I'm assuming "items by lot" can't open because we have activity on a lot code that's too long for NAV to display, but is there any way for me to fix this?

    When you did reclass how did you enter a lot no. which is bigger than 10 characters, you would need to write a processing report and update the ledger entries.

    On Microsoft Dynamics NAv 2016 u can have 'lot Nos'  till 20 characters.

    Its not a problem.

    I think ur version comes from a 'bad' migrated version of NAV; or someone touched some table and changed the max characters of a table field via programmation.

    The solution is to change back the field and if the change was done because another error, look for the correct solution of the error.

    The field must be Code20 and not be changed.

    If u have a way to debug the code u will see that the line is a field of a table.

    If u are sure that ur database was not touched and no one coded in C/AL.

    The only thing i can think of is that the Codeunit 99000830 on 2016 had a different size on the Lot No.

    (i have no time to verify it, maybe some one can)
