Blocked Reserved Stock

Hi,

Im having trouble with one of our parts that have been blocked and reserved, but it's not showing against which batch number or location its taking information from. Any thougts how to remove reserved quantity for line 1?

Hi Viz,

Are you referring to the Stock status column? This is a status given during the inbound transaction or later modified. It is a status which is regarless any reservations. The intention is to be able to block items, locations, etc. You can use a periodic option in the warehouse menu to change the Stock status.

Hi Andre,

Thanks for the reply. Most cases I can trace down the information from transaction log, and if there's any issues with blocked statuses/reservations, QA orders etc., can be adjusted. In this case I can't see reserved quantity linked to any physical quantity or any other area.

Hi Viz,

In the Warehouse management module, functionality called 'Quarantine' can be used to change the status of inventory. Someone has used this functionality to change 50,000 of the item to 'Blocking' on 04/02/2016.

Because your 'Blocking' status has 'Inventory blocking' ticked, AX has also used Inventory blocking functionality to make 50,000 unavailable. Take a look at Stock management -> Periodic -> Stock blocking - it should tell you here who did it.

All you need to do is use the Quarantine functionality to change the status back again. It seems someone already knows how to do this, because you have an example with 135,000 that has been blocked on 04/02/2016 and unblocked on 15/02/2016.

Thank you very much Guy.

I tried to create quarantine order and it gives me this message ''quarantine management is not supported for warehouse management processes'' am I missing something?

I`m still new to AX.

Hi Viz

'Quarantine order' is not the same as 'Quarantine' - its (confusingly) something completely different.

'Quarantine' can be accessed in more than one way. For example, via a mobile device menu item with the following properties:

Via Warehouse management -> Inquiries -> On-hand by location -> Quarantine.

Via Warehouse management -> Periodic -> Warehouse status change.

Via Warehouse management -> Periodic -> Inventory status change.

Since you've already got some transactions of type 'Quarantine', one of these processes (or a similar one) must be in use.

Hi Guy,

Thanks for your reply again. We couldn't correct the stock status from the following options due to on-hand quantity for specific part was showing <0. Therefore we removed created `Stock blocking` line in AOT and it solved the problem.
