Blank screen when a user tries to access any manu option

Hi All,

We have one user who has issue where when he logs in to BC, he gets the role center but when he clicks on any tile or navigation menu item on the top, gets the blank screen as in the attached screen shot. This is across all companies for this user. We tried removing the user and recreating but it didn't solve the issue. We have other users with exact same permissions who have no issue.

Thanks.

Does this user have the same profile as other users? Have you tried using a different internet browser?

Does this problem occur when using his account on other computers that do not have the problem? It seems to be a hardware problem, such as the PC or the Browser.

    Thanks.

The issue is resolved using FirFox browser. Not sure why it didn't work on Edge and Chrome. Our network team will investigate it further.

    Hi,

I hope there is no such issue as of now, as this query raised in August 2024.

I am not sure why people are responding to the old posts, which they have already mentioned it is resolved, and causing the latest posts to appear at the top. Please stop doing this.

    Hi,

When a user sees the Role Center but gets a blank screen upon clicking any menu item, it typically points to a corrupted personalization profile, cached layout conflict, or client-side rendering issue.

Here’s a clean diagnostic path to resolve it:

    • Delete the user’s personalization record: Go to User Personalization in BC and remove the affected user’s entry. This resets layout preferences and clears any cached UI corruption.
    • Clear browser cache and test in incognito mode: If the issue disappears in incognito, it’s likely tied to cached scripts or extensions. A full cache clear often resolves transient rendering failures.
    • Test in a different browser or device: If the issue is browser-specific, switching to Edge or Chrome (latest version) can help isolate the problem.
    • Check for missing page permissions: Even if the user has the same permission set, confirm that they have access to the underlying pages linked to the tiles. A missing indirect permission can cause silent failures.
    • Disable browser extensions: Ad blockers, script filters, or privacy tools can interfere with BC’s navigation logic. Whitelist the BC domain and disable extensions temporarily.
    • Recreate the user in Microsoft 365 Admin Center: If the issue persists after deleting the BC user, try recreating the user in Microsoft 365 and reassigning the license. This ensures a clean identity sync.
    • Enable telemetry or check Event Viewer logs: SaaS users can enable telemetry to trace session-level errors. On-premises users can use Event Viewer to diagnose rendering failures.
