duplicate in inventtrans

i have duplicate records in inventtrans table

the item sold only 1 unit

and if we checked the inventory we will find two records as duplicate qty

, problem is applied on all items in the sales order of the store

the sales order contains the right qty for all items

but inventtrans doesn't contain it.

Hello SayedMohamed,

Is only one single sales order affected by this issue or do you see the multiplication of inventtrans lines for all of your sales orders?

Also, you put the tag 'retail'. Can you let us know how this sales order was created (manually through an import, etc.)

the transaction is cash-N-Carry .

the sales order created automatically after posting statement for the store.

how the transaction posted twice to inventtrans table ? we don't know?

Is it possible that the automatic transfer got stuck somehow and once it reverted back created those two transactions?

This is something you probably need to discuss with your IT/development team.

and the partner also doesn't reach for the problem

we need how to fix duplicated data in inventtrans

and how to retrieve the duplicated transaction in inventtrans table

Hello Sayed,

A developer can certainly 'clean' that duplicated line but the main question is why it happened and how you can make sure that it won't happen again.

It's difficult to guess what might be the reason for that; probably one of your integrations built.

Yet, as you have already discussed internally, another way forward would be having the MS support taking a look at the issue.

That's what I would go for next, i.e. opening a support ticket with MS.

Hi Sayed,

A developer should create a script to find the duplicate records and delete them.

Related to the cause... are you aware of any customizations? Could it be the case that during a batch process of posting the statement the system was stopped and restarted later?

Hi Sayed,

Once the inventtrans duplicate data is deleted check if the On-Hand inventory is showing correct values ( I am 99% sure it will not). To correct it run the consistency check for that particular item with 'Fix' parameter which will correct the on-hand data.

we get duplicate it by sql script but we prefer to get it from the system itself

we think the reason of the problem during statement posting.
