AAD Application Registration

Can anyone show me documentation for AAD Application registration?  My application runs as a service and needs to authenticate with Business Central with no interaction and basic authentication is not recommended, so the next alternative was AAD Applications (search for AAD Applications in BC).  I cannot find any documentation on this nor how to get my application configured which is in my AAD.
