Hi Team,

I would like to know how to become a partner for Business Central on-premises. My organisation is already a CSP partner, and we sell CSP licenses.
I have the same question (0)

To become a partner authorized to sell and deploy Business Central on-premises, your organization (even as a CSP) must meet a few additional criteria beyond CSP enrollment:

    1. Enroll in the Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises Partner Program – This requires being part of the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) program and having an active Solutions Partner designation (formerly Microsoft Gold/Silver).

    2. Sign the Dynamics 365 Business Central On-Premises Addendum – This is a licensing agreement you must accept through Partner Center to gain rights for on-premises deployments.

    3. Download License Keys via VOICE or Partner Center – For on-prem, you’ll need access to PartnerSource Business Center or VOICE to generate license keys for customers.

Or reach out to Microsoft Partner Support via Partner Center to initiate the on-prem enrollment.

Yes, Business Central on-premises is still available for purchase through Microsoft Partners.

The core functionality is mostly the same between SaaS and on-prem, but differences exist in licensing, update frequency, and cloud integrations.

There's a process which you need to step into -
    1. You'll need to meet Microsoft's competency requirements including technical certifications, customer deployments, and revenue commitments beyond your current CSP status.
    2. On-premises Business Central uses perpetual licenses through Volume Licensing, not CSP subscriptions, so you'll need authorization to sell these traditional licenses.
    3.  Reach out to your Microsoft Partner Development Manager or distributor to discuss requirements, timeline, and transition process from CSP-only to hybrid partnership.
    4. The full process typically takes several months to complete all competency and authorization requirements, so start early if this aligns with your business strategy.
