Remove Sales Transaction History

Hi

So we solved a problem with our client crashing when trying to remove history, we then succeeded in moving past 2005!  Unfortunately the process has deleted some recent history transactions - possibly the end date wasn't inserted into the restriction. We only wanted to keep history from 1st July 2012 onwards and then every year we roll we will remove further information.

We did create a full back up just before running the process so we have the history available in a separate backup file.

Is it possible to insert the history records back into our Live company?  If so is it simply one table or multiples?  We are contacting our support company anyway but any thoughts here would be much appreciated.

    Hi ALF068,

    Unfortunately, this is not a 'one-table' solution. It is definitely a consulting project. I would like to suggest you look into a product called 'Company Data Archive' by Professional Advantage.

    I am not associated with that company in any way, but it is the only product of its kind out there. You can 'archive' information into a history company, and add to that archive whenever you want.

    What did you do to solve the problem?

    I have a problem removing Remove Sales Transaction History where it runs for a while and causes dexterity crash. Some  history does get removed. Seems to be able to delete small date ranges (1-3 months) IF i include a customer range. ( can be First to Last )
